Day One Foundry LLC, doing business as Dual Income ("we," "us," or "our"), operates the Dual Income mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who We Are

Dual Income is a household wealth-tracking application designed for couples who combine finances. The App aggregates financial account data through Plaid, Inc. ("Plaid") to provide a unified view of your household's net worth, spending, income, and financial trends.

Dual Income is operated by Day One Foundry LLC, a California limited liability company.

2. Information We Collect

Plaid provides us with a secure access token that allows us to retrieve account and transaction data on your behalf. This token is stored server-side only and is never exposed to the App on your device.

If you join a household with a partner, your linked financial accounts, balances, transactions, and profile information are visible to your household partner within the App. This shared visibility is a core feature of the service.

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your data only to provide services to us and are subject to their own privacy policies linked above.

We honor Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If applicable, you will be prompted to allow or deny tracking before any advertising identifiers are shared with third parties. You can change this setting at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.

We never share your financial data with advertising partners. Advertising attribution is limited to install and engagement metrics and is completely separate from your financial information.

6. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:

We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to promptly addressing any security incidents. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by applicable law.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you with the App's services.

Unlinking accounts: You can unlink any financial institution at any time through the App. When you unlink an institution, we revoke the associated Plaid access token, which prevents any further data retrieval from that institution. Previously synced transaction and account data associated with that institution may be retained until you delete your account.

Account deletion: You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. When you delete your account:

We may retain certain information as required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax or regulatory purposes) or to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention. Any retained data will be securely stored and used only for these limited purposes.

8. Your Privacy Rights (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information:

You have the right to request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law. You can delete your account directly through the App, or by contacting us at the email address below.

8.3 Right to Correct

You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.

8.4 Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. Therefore, there is no need to opt out of such practices.

8.5 Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your privacy rights.

Your use of Plaid's services to connect your financial accounts is subject to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.
